Fancy owning a piece of pop culture history? The glass-walled tree house made famous in the '80s cult comedy film Ferris Bueller's Day Off is up for sale.
The house, listed by Chicago estate agents Sudler Sotheby's Realty, is on the market for $US2.3 million ($2.9 million).
It includes the spectacular glass pavilion famously wrecked in the scene where Bueller (played by Matthew Broderick), drives a vintage red Ferrari into a ravine while trying to wind back kilometres on the vehicle.
It also boasts incredible views of the surrounding woods, four bedrooms, the famous pavilion, and is located in the exclusive Highland Park area of Illinois, in the US.
For those who haven't seen the movie, Broderick plays Ferris Bueller, a mischievous teenager who coerces his friend Cameron Fry (played by Alan Ruck) and girlfriend Sloane Peterson (played by Mia Sara) into skipping school for the day to party across Chicago.
Agents handling its sale say there is already genuine international interest in the property.
